Paleoenvironmental Analytical Services

EcoPlan is pleased to offer Paleoenvironmental Analytical Services through our Cultural Department’s, geoarchaeologist and archaeobotanist. For more than 15 years, our specialist has explored the environment of the American Southwest, working with multiple firms on more than 175 projects. Quality and clarity are his strengths. EcoPlan Associates, Inc. invites you to incorporate these services into your Cultural Resource Management program. Our specialist applies an interdisciplinary approach. Integrating diverse sources of information, he bridges the divide between artifacts and their environment. Through his geoarchaeological and geomorphological studies, archaeologists better understand site geology and how the record came to be. By studying fossil pollen and charred plant remains, our specialist explores subsistence, developing ideas of how people interacted with the landscape. Specialized studies include paleoclimatic reconstructions and farming strategies. He has investigated scores of prehistoric and historic canals in southern Arizona, relating their operations with the paleoenvironment. Through his experience in the field, laboratory, and office, and through his strong ties within the analytical community, he is able to develop research strategies tailored to clients’ needs and appropriate to the scope of a project. EcoPlan Associates, Inc. continues to develop and offer high-quality environmental services. These skills, along with those of our osteologist and faunal analyst, are available to enhance your product in clear and meaningful ways. Please call our cultural department to arrange for these services. (480) 733-6666.
